Hello

As the CEO and founder of the Gandhi-King Center for Nonviolence. I'm deeply passionate about fostering peace through humanitarian work. My journey has been a lifelong commitment to promoting nonviolence and empowering women and young people to become agents of peaceful change.

My Story

My Humanitarian Work:

In recognition of my dedication to empowering women and advocating for peace, I was honored with the iWoman Global Award Jury Award for "Woman Icon" in 2020. I've also had the privilege of leading crisis leadership training for Afghan women activists, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to navigate challenging situations and advocate for peace.  My commitment to humanitarian work extends to mentoring Indian Dalit Caste students, where I focus on fostering their leadership skills and encouraging cross-cultural collaboration. Additionally, I've actively contributed to developing a blueprint for the Ukraine Children's Hospital and Research Institute, aiming to improve healthcare access and promote well-being for children in Ukraine.

Gandhi-King Center for Nonviolence:

As the CEO and founder of the Gandhi-King Center for Nonviolence, I have created a nurturing space for individuals to learn about nonviolence and develop the skills needed to become peacemakers within their own communities. We offer a variety of programs and workshops that teach people how to resolve conflicts peacefully, build strong relationships, and create positive change in the world.

My Beliefs:

I firmly believe that everyone has the potential to be a peacemaker, regardless of their background. If you are committed to creating a more peaceful world, you can make a difference. Join me on this journey towards a world where nonviolence is the prevailing standard, not the exception.

My Professional Journey:

Beyond my humanitarian efforts, I am also an Associate Professor with expertise in the psychology of crisis decision-making, nonverbal communication, and violent extremism. My research and teaching have allowed me to contribute to leadership development, threat assessment, and medical education. I have held various leadership positions, including Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Director of the MS Graduate Programs. I also founded and directed the nationally recognized CBRN Certificate Program.

My Commitment:

I am committed to using my skills and experience to promote peace and nonviolence. I believe that education and empowerment are essential tools for creating a more just and peaceful world.
