Hello, I'm Dr. David Ellis, Treasurer for the Gandhi-King Center for Nonviolence. My background in science, particularly toxicology, has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of life and the importance of preserving it. This understanding has fueled my passion for fostering peace and nonviolence through humanitarian work.

My Story

 

My Humanitarian Work:

I have had the privilege of touring India with Mr. Tushar Gandhi, an experience that profoundly shaped my worldview and solidified my commitment to nonviolence. I have also served as treasurer for numerous non-profit organizations, utilizing my financial expertise to support their missions and ensure their sustainability.

Gandhi-King Center for Nonviolence:

As Treasurer for the Gandhi-King Center for Nonviolence, I play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. I am dedicated to supporting the Center's mission of promoting nonviolence and empowering individuals to become peacemakers within their own communities.

​My Beliefs:

I firmly believe that everyone has the potential to be a peacemaker, regardless of their background. If you are committed to creating a more peaceful world, you can make a difference. Join me on this journey towards a world where nonviolence is the prevailing standard, not the exception.

My Professional Journey:

Beyond my humanitarian efforts, I am also a respected scientist with expertise in toxicology. I currently work for Battelle Institute and serve as an adjunct faculty member at Boonshoft School of Medicine. My research and teaching have allowed me to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the training of future generations of scientists.
